Hi everyone,

I love music and I thought I would share a few of my favorite Mexican bands. The Latin Music scene is incredibly diverse as music is part of the culture. Most people outside of Latin America will never get to hear it though.

Until now.... :)

All these artists are from Mexico.

1)Natalia Lafourcade - Pop/Electric/Alternative

Song - Busca Un Problema (Look for a problem)

2) Zoe - Electro/Pop

Song - No me destruyas (Don't Destroy Me)

3) Ely Guerra - Rock/Pop/Acoustic

Song - Ojos Claros, Labios Rojos (Light Eyes, Red Lips)

Bonus Song (cuz she's kinda diverse) "Espinita" (Thorn)

4) Molotov - Rock/Hip Hop

Song - "Chinga Tu Madre" (literal trans. "Fuck Your Mother") Friggin great song.

5) Jesse Bulbo - Punk/Alternative/Just-kinda-weird

Song - "Me Muevo" ("I Move")

Hope you enjoy

Hello / Ola !

Death metal band Brujeria. Very unconventional, even "scandalous".

Greetings from Transilvania

Gracias por la musica Diana. Nortec e Instituto ya los conozco pero me gusto mucho San Pascualito Rey.

George,

Brujeria is not my favorite.

If you like heavier type metal... Resorte is much better. :)

Resorte - "Aqui no es donde"

Hope ya dig it.

I'm so happy to see a thread on Mexican music, I could go on about it for more then ever. Not big on ZOE but my first concert was Molotov. My dad took me to it and I came out of it bruised and drunk while I was 13. I hold that experience very dear to my soul.

El Tri is one of the most prominent rock groups from there and just about everyone and their mother knows their songs.

Mana got featured in a Rock Band game, another super big group. Glad they got the international exposure they deserved.

Mexico's ska scene is SECOND TO NONE in the world too. Ska-P or Panteon Rococo are the prime examples of that.

Can't forget classic groups like Los Bukis or Los Temerarios too. I tend to forget that mexican music can be considered international to others. If anyone has any other groups or singers from other latin countries I'd love to hear em, feel free to send!
