that's a fine selection of links - thanks! on the indie tip, the hipsters over at pitchfork media are, according to themselves, the arbiters of elitist indie cool. Watch them shower accolades or, more likely, verbally annihilate your newest favourite 'underground' band: _www.pitchforkmedia_com/ but, yeah, interesting and to-the-minute news and views on everything indie - enjoy!

hi and thanks for starting this thread.

although im not into indie music as much, i really liked the interface of www_indieum_com. its strip down to the essentials and i can listen to music i normally couldnt from the front page without opening another page. i think thats absolutely great.

anyone know of an aggregator like this for other genres of music.

cheers

Heyo,

I know Tinariwen!
Read about them a year ago in a local newspaper and did a bit researching afterwards.
Just bought their CD 'Aman Iman' - some good tracks on there :-)

And I just found a clip on Youtube where they're playing with Carlos Santana.

Oh,
Nice to hear of you,
It's really nice to find peple listening to them in europe,

If you liked 'Aman Iman',
I suggest the 'Live in New York', you'll like it!

I'll definitely look for the CD, thanks for the tip!

And as for people in Europe listening to them - I haven't met anyone else before who knew the band. Pretty frustrating ;-)
