Thanks to torrents, I've been able to "experiment" with lots of new artists/bands.

note: It's hard to "label" most of this, but I can assure you they're all worth checking out. Some stuff I recently have been groovin' to:

Caribou - very cool psych rock!
The Black Angels - more cool psych rock
Deerhoof - unique sound... hard to describe
Animal Collective - also unique
Battles - GREAT drummer, with addl. samples/loops, etc.
Deerhunter - wierd mix of sounds, mainly psych rock
Girl Talk - FUN and FUNKY old-school dance music
Professor Murder - Also FUN and FUNKY dance music

OK, I won't go crazy here... Let me know what you think if you check these out. Do you have any suggesions on artists/bands I may like?

I'll be sure to check out Michael Buble.

We just got back from Prague, so there was classical music everywhere. I'm listening to the XM Classical through satellite TV and then picking out things I like. never a big classical person, but it's great background music and the weather is turning colder, even here in SF.

Yesterday scoured virgin music store looking for women's bulgarian chant - horrified they had nothing. After finding nothing on iTunes (music store in USA sucks) I did another search and found

Jewish Songs - Cosmic Voices from Bulgaria and I LOVE IT.

Right now I'm on to DIGBY (myspace_com/digby)
They have a free EP on their website and the music is awesome. It really feels like they have captured the worldwide mood. Really amazing stuff.

"casta diva" from Bellini's Norma sung by Cecilia Bartoldi is my favourite song presently. I love her voice very much.
Much joy to everybody listening to their favourite music, whatever it is.
